How do you determine the direction of your career? Besides academic research, astrophysicists also seem to find their way in data science or consultancy. Are PhD graduates in astrophysics limited to these directions or are there other possibilities? FNWI Career Service has invited Ralph Rousseau Meulenbroeks over to discuss decision-taking in career development with you.
Information: Ralph (PhD in plasma physics) started his career in Eindhoven and worked in industry (Shell, Océ) and in nuclear fusion research. At a certain point, he decided to changed his professional focus to music: viola da gamba. He also spent some years in secondary education and is now back in academia as assistant professor at the University of Utrecht, whilst developing himself as a motivational speaker.
