On being an API

Being in an institute in a certain role means doing work prescribed by that role. But it also means being part of a community that hopes to share certain common values, among which is creating a friendly atmosphere and providing mutual support. At API, we have traditionally tried to be a ‘family enterprise’ and do well at this. But this requires indeed some common values, which with our present size and diversity we cannot assume everyone will share already, or learn implicitly.
