Meteorite dichotomy and the early history of the solar accretion disk

Meteorites provide snapshots of the Sun's accretion disk in time and space. In this talk, I will show how the isotopic composition of meteorites can be used to reconstruct the early evolution of the solar accretion disk during the first ~5 million years of its history. More specifically I will talk about the isotopic dichotomy between the inner and outer disk, the role of Jupiter in maintaining this dichotomy, and what the dichotomy tells us about the infall and disk building stage of the solar system.
