Of course, if it's clear, we will place some solar telescopes on our doorstep through which people will be able to view the eclipse safely. This is in collaboration with the VSA, de Volkssterrenwacht Amsterdam. There will also be activities for kids, lectures and a livestream, no matter the weather.
The eclipse itself lasts from 11:17 until 13:04. About 20% of the sun will lbe eclipsed by the moon so we explicitly discourage people from trying to view this ecllipse without protective measures such as eclipse glasses or a filtered telescope. Even a 99% eclipsed sun can cause permanent eye damage. So do come to API to safely enjoy the eclipse! Even with bad weather we will have enough fun activities for young and old and you will be able to view the eclipse on a big screen via a livestream

Registration has already opened and is (in theory) without limit. Most of the programme will be outside our building so we are not limited to an X amount of visitors this time. We would however still like to know who's coming so we can make sure there are enough crafts materials, telescopes and (not unimportant!) ERO personnel.
