Stargazing Activities

We love to discuss our discoveries and fascination for the universe. In order to do that, we organize regular public outreach events.

The star dome and the moon

Schools and other groups can book virtual or face to face tours or a Skype/Zoom session with one of our scientists, on a subject of their choice. There are stargazing events from september-march and as of early 2022 we have started doing Sidewalk Astronomy sessions, taking our mobile telescopes into the city to allow passers-by to enjoy the moon and planets with us.

Also, members of the OBA public library can borrow our library telescope for free. Registration for the telescope is required. More information on the website of the library.

You can subscribe to our mailing list to be notified whenever we have observing nights. Note that the mail contents and many of our stargazing events are in Dutch.
