The API Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Committee is a committee consisting of members from all layers of our institute, from scientific staff members to Master students. On this page, you will find our Terms of Reference and the list of the current members of this committee. For questions about / to our committee, comments or items/issues you would like to bring to our attention, there are different ways of contact us

Ways of contacting the EDI committee

  1. Contact committee members individually (see below);
  2. Fill in our anonymous form (see Wiki Section on EDI);
  3. Leave a suggestion in the EDIC box in the API Common room.

To advance our mission, the API EDIC will strive to:

  • Serve as an educational resource on diversity issues for the API.
  • Make recommendations on best practices in hiring and retention for the API.
  • Raise awareness of diversity issues and best practices for creating and maintaining an inclusive environment within the API
  • Support students, staff, and faculty who are struggling with diversity issues by referring them to appropriate third-party resources
  • Provide consultation for the API Director on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion
