To advance our mission, the API EDIC will strive to:
- Serve as an educational resource on diversity issues for the API.
- Make recommendations on best practices in hiring and retention for the API.
- Raise awareness of diversity issues and best practices for creating and maintaining an inclusive environment within the API
- Support students, staff, and faculty who are struggling with diversity issues by referring them to appropriate third-party resources
- Provide consultation for the API Director on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion
